Document Reader Installation Instructions

1. When you decide to install the Special Offspring Document Reader, be aware the the installation may take up to 1 hour depending on the configuration of your PC and the speed of your internet connection. The installation, however, is mostly automated, so you will not have to stay at your machine for the duration of the installation.
   
   
2. After clicking on the download link a "File Download" dialog box should appear. Click on the "Open" button
   
   
   
   
3. After you click open, a download progress dialog box will be displayed.
   
   
   
   
4. Once "SpecialOffspringInstaller.zip" has been downloaded, a folder should open up for you as demonstrated below. In order to start the installation process, double-click on "setup.exe"
   
   
   
   
5. After opening "setup.exe" you may get a Security Warning. Click the "Run" button to continue with the installation.
   
   
    
   
6. The Special Offspring Document Reader has one (1) prerequisite installation that must occur before the actual application is installed: .NET Framework 3.5. Click on the "Accept" button to accept the terms of the license agreement to continue.
   
   
   
   
7. After accepting the licensing agreement for .NET 3.5, the installer will automatically start downloading the required software from the Microsoft website. This may take some time depending on the speed of your internet connection
   
   
   
   
8. Once the files are downloaded, the setup program will begin installing the .NET Framework.
   
   
   
   
9. After .NET Framework 3.5 been installed, the Special Offspring Document Reader Setup Wizard will begin. Click the "Next" button to continue.
   
   
   
   
10. Click "I Agree" to accept the Special Offspring License Agreement. Click the "Next" button to continue the installation.
    
    
    
    
11. Keep the default location for the installation package or if needed, define your own location for the installation. You can also select whether you want the program to be installed just for your account on the PC, or for everyone who has an account on the PC. Choose "Everyone" if other users on the PC will be using the Special Offspring Document Reader. Click the "Next" button to continue.
    
    
    
    
12. A confirmation screen is displayed. If you are sure you want the installation to continue, hit the "Next" button.
    
    
    
    
13. The setup program will then begin installation the Special Offspring Document Reader.
    
    
    
    
14. If the installation is successful, this screen will be displayed. You may then click the "Close" button.
    
    
    
    
15. To use the Special Offspring Document Reader, go to your desktop, find the icon the says "Special Offspring Document Reader", and double-click on it.
